Privacy Policy
Oravon Digital Advisory, referred to as “Oravon”, “we” or “us”, is a digital advisory practice based in Kingston, Jamaica. This policy explains how information is handled when you use oravon.digital or contact us through the website.
Information you provide
When you submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, business name, email address, WhatsApp number, area of interest and message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, assess whether our services may be relevant and maintain a record of correspondence.
Form processing
Website form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling provider, and delivered to Oravon by email. Formspree processes the information according to its own privacy terms. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, health or confidential client information through the general website form.
Optional analytics
The website offers a choice to accept or decline optional Google Analytics. When accepted, Google Analytics may process technical and usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location, referral source and interaction timing. Oravon uses this information to understand website performance. Analytics is not loaded when you decline through the website preference notice.
Cookies and browser storage
Oravon does not set cookies of its own. The website stores two small items in your browser using local storage and session storage rather than cookies:
- oravon_analytics (local storage) records whether you accepted or declined optional analytics, so you are not asked on every visit.
- oravon_intro_seen (session storage) records that you have already seen the site introduction animation, so it does not replay during the same browsing session. It is cleared when you close the browser.
Neither item is transmitted to Oravon or to any third party. Both are strictly functional.
Cookies may, however, be set by third-party services embedded in the website:
- Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and measure sessions. These are set only if you accept optional analytics. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookies are created.
- Google Maps may set cookies when a map is displayed. The map on our contact page is not loaded automatically. It is shown only after you choose to load it, and your choice is remembered in local storage under oravon_maps.
- Google Fonts is used to serve typefaces. Google states that fonts are delivered without cookies, though your IP address is transmitted to Google in order to retrieve them.
Embedded content
Pages on this website may include content served from other providers, such as an embedded map, a booking page or a messaging link. When you choose to load or follow such content, that provider receives your IP address and may apply its own cookies and privacy terms, which Oravon does not control.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by service providers required to operate the website and respond to enquiries, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Retention
Enquiry records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for communication, business administration, legal obligations and the establishment or defence of claims. Retention periods may vary according to the nature of the interaction.
Your choices
You may ask Oravon to correct or delete information you submitted, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements. You may change your analytics or map preference at any time by clearing this website’s stored preferences from your browser settings, under site data for oravon.digital, and reloading the page. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some third-party features such as the embedded map may then not function.
